The best speaker I've ever owned. Sound is great, interface is great, easy to use, remembers all your bluetooth devices, and the battery lasts for ages! Also, the battery can me used to charge up your cell phone, mp3 player, or anything else that takes power from a usb port. I ran my Raspberry Pi (a small computer) off this!!!
I use it at the beach all the tie and just rinse the sand off when I get home! I use it while in the shower and don't worry about getting it wet when I cange songs or volume as the controlls on the speaker are waterproof and can control my phone over the bluetooth connection. You need to get this speaker and forget about the Jambox or other speakers.
This little guy is amazing, puts out good sound especially compared to other speakers of its size. Volume and sound quality not as good as Bose, but the fact that it's water proof is amazing. I take it camping and use it when I work outside. I accidentally left it out side for a week we had some crazy storms, it blew off the table and into a large puddle where I found it, works like the day I got it. It's great.
The top qualities that stand out on day one:

When buying portable speakers it is expected they will go to beaches (sand) and picnic tables (food & spills), maybe see some rain on hikes, get dropped along the way with kids handling it. I will not have to worry about any of these. My 3 year old has already dropped it, working just fine.
It is important to note - if you are expecting BIG bass from smaller speakers it is technically very limited by the physical size. A woofer has a diaphragm which moves to push air to create the bass effect - to keep it really simple. You can fit a diaphragm only so big in a speaker case this size.
I have a Bose Lifestyle - which does a very good job at home but zero portability. This little speaker will do a great job on the road. Two thumbs up - will strongly recommend it!
