I was looking for a portable wireless speaker after getting rid of the old speaker system. I wanted to enjoy music on computer and my Kindle Fire HD 8.9. Something that would fill the room and could enjoy anywhere. I have a small round speaker and the volume is limited but the sound is great on my little $10.00 Christmas find years ago at Staples. I went to the box stores as others state you can listen to all the choices including the little round ones. The sales person listened to what I wanted and directed me to The Sony, JBL, Bose and then told me to listen closely and he would walk away and come back after I listen to all to discuss.

The price of ones I liked were in the same range but this Sony SRS-BTX300 was just awesome. We then pulled spec and the battery charge time on this one was listed as 8 hours. He then pointed out anything that will play for this length of time w/o recharge is typically going to have weight. I thought about this and realized that is fairly true the Kindle Fire is in my opinion heavy but the battery is long lasting, cell phones with decent battery life is also weighty. I then looked at the stand and I actually liked it so I bought this and have never looked back. This speaker is exactly what I wanted and it is solid and does not move around on its on because of the weight. I also took my speaker to Myrtle Beach on vacation and the ocean front room came alive even at low level when I played it. In the evenings we turned it on sat on the balcony and enjoyed the beauty of music and sound of ocean.

This speaker as you can see serve multiple purpose I carry it with me and I use it at home. I do not have to keep moving it to enjoy it in different rooms. Easy to pair with Motorola Axtrix 2-3 different Kindle devices (others had them too) computer does not matter it paired. The bass is awesome and you can actually use the volume on the device to control the volume. A Bass booster app works wonderfully if you want to change sounds the speaker responds to whatever you do on the device. Watching movie using speaker was fabulous and if you have books on audio what an enjoyable experience you will have. Highly recommend and enjoy!!
