These speakers are perfect for my hearing problems. In the past I had to turn the T.V.'s sound so high so I could hear it, but it blasted my wife's ear drums. They do have a very good quality sound and I must say, they are priced very reasonable. The only con I have is that the speaker only works with the remote if it's in the line of site. I didn't especially want it sitting on my end table, but even though, it is a very stylish speaker and I can live with that. Even though there are 2 speakers included in the set, I only needed 1 of them; so I'll use the 2nd speaker as a backup in case the one I'm using goes bad. I did place a 2nd order for an additional remote control, one for me and the other for my wife, and again it was very inexpensive. It was so easy to set up too. It only took me less than a minute to hook up the transmitter's plug into the rear of the T.V., and zippo, it worked the first time. I do want to mention that some T.V.'s like mine has 2 audio outputs that this cable will fit into; the one output located on the left side of my T.V. works with these speakers, but doesn't disable the T.V.'s internal speaker. The T.V. audio output on the rear is the one you want to use, it does disable the T.V.'s internal speaker. My wife and I are very pleased with these speakers. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!!
